Pro-Trace HDD-CCS PE45/PE50 tracer wire is formulated for Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) featuring a conductor core made of Extra High-Strength Copper Clad Steel (EHS-CCS). This conductor material provides nearly 700% the break load of copper which allows for single-wire installation in Directional Drilling/Boring applications. It is rated for direct burial. The wire combines optimal strength, ductility, and durability. The insulation is 45 mil thick and consists of High-Density, High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HDHMWPE). The Stranded Conductor Core Type and 50 mil insulation on this product only apply to the 4AWG Gauge Size which is great for Pipe Bursting and Critical Boring installations.
